Starbug goes BOOM again

After all these years I thought it was time to blow up Starbug again, and to do it right this time, I've included an old animation to show the difference the first was done in '95-'96 on an Amiga 1500 or 4000/030 can't remember now, this new one is a vast improvement.

VR Powerboat Racing (Intro)

This was created and rendered while working at East Point/Promethean Designs. The whole thing was rendered on ONE P166, 32mb. I remember getting into work one day and being asking if a dual pentium pro would help I said yeah that would be great, shame I never saw them, the programmer got one and the boss got the other one...

This is all pre-Hypervoxels, complete with Jelly Water. I had one go at the water because of the deadline, slow render time I only had one chance to get it right, sadly it failed... the spray from the boats look very poor now, I'm tempted to go back and do a George Lucas style remastered version, including the bit that got cut out, a nice montage of the trailer being hitched up, driven to the broad, unhitched, and the boat prepared for the race... And maybe I could get the waterfall/spray and water right this time.

Sadly this is a bit jerky... this is due to the original compression and as I don't have any of the source renders I can't re-edit them, so a remastered version would fix this as well.
